I use this projector every night. It has a sleep timer that you can turn on, which is a LIFE SAVER for me as someone who loves to listen to podcasts to fall asleep. It works really well, even during the day as long as I have the room light off. I could not recommend this thing enough.

It was pretty easy to set up, and even comes with a little cleaning kit. I lost the lens cover the day that I got it, but I haven’t had any visual issues even without that cap.

The picture quality is pretty good, but slightly fuzzy at the approximately 15 foot distance that I have it set up at. You can definitely still see pretty well, and the text is still clearly readable, but just a slight fuzziness.

This bad boy is DEFINITELY worth the money!!!

So the company reached out (a few times) and was kind enough to send me their more advanced model; the 4K projector.

What an amazing difference. Yes, it’s more expensive, but if you’re going to use this frequently, I do recommend the upgrade! I haven’t used the screen that comes with it, but the image and audio quality are remarkably different.

You can see the difference in the pictures. The first (with the theater graphic at the bottom) is the mini projector. The second (with the Stardew Valley stream) is the 4K.

The mini isn’t horrible, but if you’re looking for great quality and can afford the upgrade: do it. The 4K is very nice. And still not so large that it feels bulky or that it’s taking up too much space.

I picked this up on a deal, and had I paid more, I’d probably return this.

It’s hard to get uniformly focused. And so far, using the usb to hdmi cable I have, I don’t get any audio from the unit itself. Just my laptop.

Mainly got this to watch Twitch streams and movies while in bed, so I wouldn’t have to wall mount and hook up a tv. I might use it for outdoor movie nights with my nieces.

But yeah. Quality isn’t the best but not so horrible I’m thinking about returning. Would I recommend to someone else? If you’re looking for a deal, sure. But if you can spend more for better? Do that.

This projector is exactly what we wanted, at a price we could afford.

It is actually bright enough to see what’s going on even with windows open and daylight streaming in. Good enough to entertain children that way, excellent to entertain anyone with normal curtains drawn. (No need for special blackout curtains.) Picture is nice and sharp, not pixelated. But, the edges and corners are always out of focus. It’s hard to read text in menus around the edges of the screen, but characters in a movie are usually centered and therefore in focus.

I love the adjustability of the picture. I can’t hang the projector on the ceiling (apartment dweller) but I can shrink down the size of the picture and set up across the room from where I want to see it.

The Bluetooth broadcast works great.

The ability to skew the picture for angled projection is kind of nice, but the focus is very shallow, so it will never fully focus from an angle. (this is not the issue I’m having with blurry edges, I have it set up completely square to the wall now.) The physical keystone adjustment does correct focus when shining up at a wall, but the digital keystone correction does not.

Also, the speakers are ALWAYS AT FULL VOLUME ON STARTUP. I like to use the “screen off” option instead of turning it all the way off, because the speakers are very loud and will blast the startup sound each time I turn it on.

So, Pros: sharp picture, brightness, loud speakers, Bluetooth.

Cons: edges blurry, very loud startup sound, limited built-in streaming options

This thing is awesome!
I have had dirt cheap and 1000$ tv’s before and this things is great! It is light portable easy to set up and as large or as small a picture as I want it (within reason). This device gets warm like any 4K tvs I have had and the sound isn’t the best like other 100$ tvs I have had. So getting this thing was great!!!
