A totally satisfying entry-level projector. While it’s not the highest resolution or brightness projector on the market, it works great and makes an enjoyable viewing experience.
I have mine by the side of my bed and pointed at the ceiling. Although the projector was not designed to be oriented in that way and I needed to prop it up on some small blocks to keep from obstructing the vent holes on the back, it’s worked without issues for over a year in this configuration.
The projector does have a fan which makes a little noise, but it’s quiet enough to not be disruptive even though it’s just out of arm’s reach from where I’m viewing. The projector has a built-in speaker that provides a sound quality on-par with most television sets.
Of course the picture quality won’t be imax or 4k quality, but it’s great for 1080p DVD or Blu-ray movies. I have mine connected by HDMI to a Blu-ray player.
The picture is bright enough to be easily visible with in a room with lamp lighting, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a room with a lot of direct sunlight, and the darker the room the better. You’re watching a movie; turn the lights off.
The focus and keystone adjustments are simple and easy to use. The projector is lightweight and easily portable, and only takes 1 or 2 minutes to plug in and set up.
Overall, I like it way more than a bulky 1080p TV set, especially considering that it allows me to watch shows and movies while completely relaxed in bed, without having my neck bent at an awkward angle. It’s not the best choice if you’re looking for absolute top-quality, flagship projectors and a high-end home theater, but I’m delighted at how good the movies look and sound, especially for the price.
