WiFi Projector for iPhone, ELEPHAS 2024 Upgraded Mini Projector with Tripod & Carry Bag, Full HD 1080P Supported, 200″ Display Portable Projector, Compatible with iOS/Android/Windows/TV Stick/HDMI/USB

We decided last minute to do an outdoor halloween movie night for the kids in the family. After some quick comparisons with comparably priced projectors I decided on this one for $99. I added on a 120″ screen for $27, both with prime 2day shipping($135 total after tax) and went for it.
I was not disappointed. It’s very easy to use, within 10 minutes of opening I was streaming a movie from my Firebox onto the wall. I was immediately impressed with the picture, even though my test run was being projected onto a light gray wall. The sound from the speaker in the unit, while clear and surprisingly loud, isn’t good enough for a real movie experience, but that holds true for every projector I’ve seen. I purchased a relatively cheap set of 2.1 channel computer speakers($40), plugged them into the AUX jack on the projector and problem solved. It sounded great. Halloween night I hung the screen off my deck railing, roughly 7′ high to the top of screen. I set up the projector, along with the firebox and speakers, on a card table 10′-12′ away from the screen. After some quick adjustments to the focus I was streaming Goosebumps with a clear HD quality picture about 100″ across. The kids loved it, and now they want to have a game night outside with their Xbox.
I have a couple friends with HD projectors that cost more than double this one. This unit more than holds its own in picture quality and sound. Not to mention their more expensive units don’t bluetooth to a phone. Although I haven’t tried that feature yet so I can’t comment on how that works.
I would definitely recommend buying this unit….
After watching a movie indoors, with the lights off, I have upgraded the rating to 5 stars. 100” clear picture, true movie experience.

I could add images and video, but lots of other reviewers have them, and it looks the same so I didn’t see the point. But anyway, pros and cons.

Pros:
Good size – Not bulky, and not at all difficult to place in various locations.
Zoom/keystone Knobs – compared to my previous projector that was the same price, the control from this one is much easier and overall much better. My prior projector didn’t even have the keystone knob.
Audio quality – Ok. This is my favorite thing about this projector that makes it stand out from others that are even more in price. At first I was disappointed because I didn’t understand the settings yet, but when I put the Surround sound – True Sound setting on I was blown away by the quality. The bass, everything is present which you can hear and it gives whatever you’re watching from it life similar to a theatre.

Cons:
Image quality – I think this is what most are a little disappointed by because the description states “1080p HD supported”. It’s definitely not. I’d say the quality doesn’t go beyond 480p and it’s definitely not Hd. I’ve messed around with all the settings, the knobs, used the wifi connection option, the usb, AND HDMI options, but it’s just not 1080p and not HD. Not for photo or video. I suspect the “supported” part of that statements means it’s possible to APPEAR that way if the projector is super close to the space it’s projecting on (screen/wall), but that part of the description definitely needs to be rewritten for clarification. The quality isn’t “horrible”, it’s just what should be expected from a projector in this price range.

That’s the only con I have tbh. Other than that, I’m very satisfied buying this. It exceeded expectations for the price considering the audio quality alone, and it’s better than other projectors that are higher in price in the $200-$300 range. Also, please note that the SRS audio quality isn’t comparable to an expensive LG soundbar, it’s just much better than the poor or standard audio quality setting that cheap projectors tend to only have.

Easy to setup and great picture, the sound is decent as well. The compact size and travel case it all fits into nicely is great for hotel trips for work since most have small TVs which is exactly why I purchased this.

I’m very pleased with the Elephas projector. As you can see, we set this up to project onto a 100” screen. The projector screen by Taotronics that cost $50. I also connected the audio to an external powered speaker through an aux cable.

Side note: The projector does have a internal speaker if you have nothing else, but it’s not very good.

It was easy to set up. It is compatible with iPhone and it’s easy to switch from one phone to the other using the internal WiFi. We watched an old DVD, watched Netflix, YouTube, Vudu, and Amazon Prime while connected to my MacBook Pro, and watched a .mp4 that I downloaded onto my USB stick.

Note: I had to purchase an HDMI cable to connect to the DVD player and another HDMI with lighting adapter to connect to my MacBook Pro.

This projector comes with a USB to USB cable and aux cord.

As a warning to potential buyers, some streaming platforms are blocked from using on projectors like Disney Plus and Peacock as they do not allow you to project on to a large screen. I don’t know how, but some steaming services have projection detection, so they know when you are attempting to mirror or project from your laptop or phone. I would recommend you do more research if this the reason you want to invest in a projector of any kind.

Update 7/19/22: I discovered that all streaming platforms can be projected if you have a Firestick.

Exceeds any expectation, easy set up and simple to operate. Image quality is excellent and fast, never pixilated. Running it off a laptop and projecting on Kodak screen. Totally satisfied with the set up. Beats the cost of buying a flat screen TV, plus can move the gear around for other use of space. Planning to buy several for gifts this year.

Great for the price but I can’t find the lenses to replace.
